Dr. Jochen Scharrenberg, born 1947, graduate economist, received his Dr. sc. pol. in 1977 and has 33 years of professional experience.

He began his professional career at a Landesbank where he was responsible for foreign credits of banks and companies, credits concerning debt conversion and for medium and long-term export financing. Subsequently, he worked as division manager of foreign credits for a subsidiary. In 1987, Dr. Scharrenberg went back to the parent company in Kiel where he was in charge of several projects (e.g. Overall Bank Management/ Basel II). In 2002, Dr. Scharrenberg became division manager of corporate management. He managed the project concerning the foundation of an investment bank where he was significantly involved in the project regarding to MaRisk.

In June 2009, Dr. Scharrenberg founded DSC Consults UG (with limited liability) and is working as a freelancer for SAM since August 2009.
