Sven Petersen, born 1966, has 17 years of professional experience in banking, thereof 10 years in managing positions in project management, bank- and IT-organisation, management of affiliated companies, business sector analysis and development as well as portfolio and company strategy. His last position was Managing Director at a subsidiary of a Landesbank where he was in charge of the back-office. Here he received various Supervisory Board seats at bank and asset management subsidiaries.

He began his professional career at Deutsche Bundesbank. Afterwards, he changed to a Landesbank. During the capital market crisis, he was responsible for the development of alternatives to secure the solvency and the liquidity of the company and the portfolios it managed and he served as liaison between the corporate headquarters, supervisory authorities and auditors.

After concluding his studies as Diplom Betriebswirt (FH) (university of applied sciences degree in Business Administration) and Diplom Kaufmann (university degree in Business Administration), Mr. Petersen completed the German Federal Bank Higher Service traineeship and later the part-time MBA at the Leipzig Graduate School of Management.
