Wolf-Dieter Ihle, born 1958, has more than 30 years of professional experience in the capital market sector and founded SAM Sachsen Asset Management GmbH in Leipzig in 2008 as Managing Partner.

Following his apprenticeship as Bankkaufmann, he began his career as stockbroker at Baden-Württembergische Bank, Stuttgart. After moving to bond trading, he was appointed Department Head in 1986. He built up the German futures exchange department and took over overall responsibility for trading and sales of securities and futures in 1993 as Department Head as well as the money market and foreign exchange trading in Stuttgart at a later point. In 1998, he became Director with general power of attorney. In 2004, he came to the LBBW in Stuttgart, where he took over the position as the Division Head of Treasury with focus on strategic investments of the bank, asset and liability management, liquidity- and cover pool management.

In August 2007, Mr. Ihle was sent to Sachsen LB in Leipzig as Board Member for capital markets and supported the bank in coping with the financial market crisis and the integration into the LBBW group.
