Dr. Andreas Fichtner, born 1978, is a graduate physicist and holds an additional postgraduate degree in investment banking.

As a scientific staff member at Chemnitz University of Technology, he was intensely involved in stochastic processes and disorder phenomena, and received his doctor’s degree in the field of theoretical physics.

Afterwards, he was responsible for profit and loss control according to MaRisk, in the risk management department of a Landesbank, particularly regarding interest and interest rate derivative books and trade control. Furthermore, he collaborated on projects regarding the migration of interest rate derivative books into new Front-Office-Systems, and on projects about the further development of the IT-environment.
Apart from his professional specialisation, he also has broad experience in programming and data bases.
